Human Services
Members of Indian River Cares that focus on human services:
Center for Spiritual Care
To provide individual and small group spiritual and holistic growth experiences leading to personal clarity, emotional empowerment, freedom and authenticity. We do this in an Interfaith setting, through spiritual direction, psychological counseling and programs and services that strengthen the relationship between body, mind, spirit and creativity.
Gifford Youth Achievement Center
With God's guidance, our mission is to offer quality programs for children of all ages that will develop self-esteem, teach character, and encourage each individual to reach his or her ultimate potential; and nurture partnerships with various community entities in Gifford and the surrounding municipalities of Indian River County.
Mental Health Collaborative of Indian River County
To establish a continuum of care for mental health made up of private and public funders, mental health providers and individuals who work in collaboration to increase access, decrease duplication and facilitate community wide support of mental health issues.
The River Fund, Inc.
The River Fund is dedicated to providing physical, emotional and spiritual support to people living with AIDS and other life threatening illnesses, to their loved ones and caregivers, and to others in need. We serve the poor, those who often are alone and in need – regardless of a person's religion, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender. Our mission is to support and affirm all people. We believe in the dignity of the individual without regard to age, gender, creed, ethnic origin and sexual orientation. We believe that selfless service enriches the lives of those who give and those who receive.
